The Council of Traditional Art is a premier institution dedicated to preserving and promoting India's rich cultural heritage through comprehensive education in traditional arts. We offer structured programs in Arts, Music, Dance, Drama, Recitation, and Handicrafts, ranging from foundation to advanced levels. Our curriculum combines traditional techniques with contemporary practices to nurture the next generation of artists.
We offer six main programs: School of Arts (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Folk Arts), School of Music (Vocal, Instrumental, Music Theory), School of Dance (Classical, Folk, Contemporary, Western), School of Drama (Acting, Direction, Traditional Theatre), School of Recitation (Voice, Poetry, Expression), and School of Handicrafts (Textiles, Wood Crafts, Metal Crafts). Each program has multiple levels from Beginner (Adya, Madhya, Purna) to Advanced (up to 9th Year - All Indian Churamnani).
For Foundation Level (Adya-Purna), the minimum age requirement is 6 years. For Intermediate and Advanced levels, students must have completed the previous level or equivalent qualification. There is no upper age limit - learners of all ages are welcome. Guardian consent is required for students below 18 years of age.
The admission process is simple: First, choose your desired program and level. Then, fill out our online application form with your personal, contact, and academic details. Submit the required documents (birth certificate, photographs, address proof, previous certificates if any) along with the application fee. You will receive confirmation within 2-3 working days. Admissions are open year-round for all programs.
The fee structure varies by program and level. Foundation level courses generally have lower fees compared to advanced levels. We offer flexible payment options and occasionally provide scholarships for meritorious students. Yes, we offer scholarships to meritorious students and those from economically weaker sections. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, talent, and financial need. The duration depends on the level you're enrolling in. Foundation level (Adya through Purna) typically takes 1 year per stage. Intermediate level (1st through 3rd Year) takes 3 years, and Advanced levels (4th through 9th Year) can take 6 years to complete. However, progression depends on successfully clearing examinations at each level. Students can also opt for fast-track or part-time options based on their convenience.
Examinations are conducted annually for each level. The assessment includes Practical examinations (100-200 marks depending on level), Theory papers (20-50 marks for intermediate and advanced levels), and Project/Assignment work (30-50 marks). Foundation levels focus primarily on practical assessments. Results are published online and students can check using their roll number. Certificates and grade sheets are dispatched within 30 days of result declaration.
Yes, examination results are published online immediately after declaration. Visit the Results page under Student Zone, enter your roll number, select your program and year/level, and click "Check Result" to view your detailed marksheet including subject-wise marks, percentage, grade, and pass/fail status. You can also print or download your result for your records.
Yes, we provide official certificates and grade sheets for all completed levels. Certificates are recognized and issued by the Council of Traditional Art. They will be dispatched to your registered address within 30 days of result publication. You can also collect them in person from our office. For advanced levels like Acharya Ratna and All Indian Churamnani, special merit certificates are awarded.
Students can apply for revaluation or rechecking of answer sheets within 15 days of result publication. You need to download and fill the revaluation form, pay the prescribed fee, and submit it to the examination department. Revaluation results are typically declared within 21 days. If there's a change in marks after revaluation, revised certificates will be issued.
We offer both online and offline learning options depending on the program and student preference. Most practical-based programs like Arts, Dance, and Handicrafts have mandatory in-person sessions for hands-on training, while theory classes and certain programs like Recitation can be attended online. Hybrid learning options are also available where students can attend a combination of online and offline classes.

Yes, program transfers are possible under certain conditions. If you wish to switch to a different program, you need to submit a written request to the academic office along with valid reasons. The transfer will be subject to seat availability in the desired program and approval from the academic committee. You may need to clear an aptitude test or interview for the new program. Previous credits may or may not be transferable depending on the programs involved.
